Visitors to St Andrews have a number of options when it comes to travelling to the town. Located on the east coast of Scotland within the Kingdom of Fife, St Andrews can be easily reached from a number of nearby cities via public transport, road and private transfers. International visitors have a choice of airport to fly into, all of which have good links with the town. Details on reaching the town are available here. If you choose to drive, there are a number of options for car parking:

  1. There is a free public car park (Petheram Bridge) to the East of the School – marked by 2 P’s next to number 19. No parking permit is needed for this car park.
  2. Following the road around North Haugh (i,e past building 17, 16, 11, 10) to the front of building 15 brings you to a University parking area, for which guest parking permits are available by arrangement
  3. If there are no spaces at either, there is an additional free car park at the Old Course Hotel, a short walk to the North (towards the top of the map)
